Scholarship Project

The CCASTAA Scholarship Project (CSP) falls under one of the strategic goals that were set forth by the CCASTAA Leadership team in January 2016 to give back to CCAST and the community at large. It was designed to primarily provide financial and material support to students that have the best academic records and good character at different class levels at the end of the academic year.

The first phase of this project consist of mainly monetary support to enable the organization to assess future needs and plan accordingly for better execution. The planning and execution of this introductory phase exceeded 500,000 CFA FRS. This money was primarily raised by CCASTARIANs around the globe. It was free will donations. The effort led by the CSP Chair, Dr. Julius Agwe, was widely accepted and supported by 3 active CCCASTAA Chapters with their coordinators: Cameroon (Godlove Akumbom & Fritz Ngeh), Europe (Francis Njinjoh and Alain Gankepe) and USA (Roger Mforneh & Ernest Ambe). This was an opportunity for many of us to give back to an institution that was once home and/or a school.

Thank you to the class of 1998 for sponsoring the launching of the CSP.
Organized chapters through designated chapter coordinators are encouraged to continue to receive donations and submit the list of donors, which will be eventually published at the end of the project. We will continue to update the list as we receive contributions. When this project was conceived, it was designed to be yearly, so contributions are accepted any time through the year.

There are discussions underway for the creation of an account for the Scholarship Project Funds in Bamenda, Cameroon. Once that account is created, all fund/donations for the project will be deposited into that account.
Godlove Akumbom of the Cameroon Chapter has worked hand in glove with the CCAST Bambili administration we are happy to announce that the Students of CCAST Bambili will receive their scholarships from CCASTAA on Friday May 27, 2016.

This occasion has been widely publicized on the radio and TV in Bamenda, Cameroon and will be heavily attended by government officials, local leaders and the students and parents in Bambili
